Did you know that lincoln has its very own sugarcraft group ?
It's been running for many many years now and runs every 3rd Wednesday of the month ( closed august and December)
It's a very friendly not for profit group for all abilities. We have a mixture of complete beginners to more experienced cake makers so there is someone always there to ask for help or advice.
This month we had the lovely Hayley from Milestones cakes and crafts come and demonstrate how to make wafer paper flowers and foliage.
Hayley explained everything to us and answered any questions we had on how to create our very own wafer paper flowers. This was such a great technique that required minimal equipment and could easily be replicated by all abilities.
So a little more about our sugarcraft group !
It takes place at the Redwood community hall based in Waddington, LN5 9BY from 7-9pm.
It's cash only to attend as we don't have a card facility with it being not for profit.
Prices are £5 for members, membership is a fee per year( please ask us if you would like more information as it changes depending on which month you join) , £7 to non members ( there is a limit of 3 visits per year as a non member).
All of the proceeds go towards the running of the group from the coat of the hall hire to the cost of the demonstrators.
It's such a great way to come and start your journey with cake making and decorating, so pop along and see what it's all about for yourself. There's no need to pre book but if you have any questions we have a Facebook group dedicated to the sugarcraft group so you can ask in there or email for more information.
